Nicolas Alcala received a mentored award from the Neuroendocrine tumor research foundation (NETRF), with Lynnette Fernandez-Cuesta—herself recipient of a NETRF investigator award in 2019—as mentor. The project will consist in using next-generation sequencing data to study how the DNA of tumors and the patient’s immune response interact to determine a patient’s tumor molecular subtype and clinical course. The project is both a continuation of the lungNENomics project and part of the transversal project on cancer ecology and evolution.
